Day 3 of Manali-Leh biking: Jispa

After a hearty breakfast, you'll begin your first day of riding. You'll ride on the Manali-Leh highway, towards Jispa. The first check point for the day is Rohtang Pass, at an altitude of 13,047 feet. At Jispa, you will be camping on triple sharing basis. Overnight in tents.

Day 4 of Manali-Leh biking: Sarchu

After a wholesome breakfast, you'll hit the road again. Today you'll go thorugh Baralacha La, a pass located at an incredible 16,000 feet, and into Sarchu. Sarchu is a desert-like region, and you'll enjoy the wide horizons from the campsite. You will sleep overnight in tents.

Day 5 of Manali-Leh biking: Leh

You'll start your ride towards Leh, going through Tanglang La (17,480 ft) which is the third highest motorable pass in the world. Later in the afternoon, you will cross the Indus valley and arrive at Leh. Overnight stay in a hotel with attached washrooms.

Day 6 of Manali-Leh biking: Rest day in Leh

You'll spend the day in Leh today, to make sure you acclimatize fully for the days ahead. Make sure you don't do anything too strenuous: take a nap, stay hydrated, eat regular meals, and head into the city for a short walk. You'll return to the hotel for the night.

Today you'll be seeing some truly spectacular scenery. You'll ride through Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world, and into the Nubra valley. Day 8 of Manali-Leh biking: Pangong Lake

Today you'll set on an adventurous ride on a road that isn't a road, and on a path that doesn't exist on Google Maps (at least so far!). You'll head to Pangong Lake via Wari Pass, navigating your bike over the rocky route parallel to the winding Shyok river. Your campsite is beside the gorgeous Pangong Lake. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 9 of Manali-Leh biking: Return to Leh

You will continue on the Leh-Manali highway towards Manali. It is your last riding day and the towering Himalayan peaks have followed you to the end of the journey. You will cross more truss bridges as you leave the stark moonscape of Leh behind and venture into the verdant landscapes of Manali. Overnight stay in cottages/Swiss tents.

Day 12 of Manali-Leh biking: Manali day
