Dudhsagar Trek overview

The Dudhsagar Waterfall trek is located on the border of Goa and Karnataka, within the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. It is on the Mandovi river in Goa and is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. This four-tiered waterfall cascades down a vertical rock face, from a height of over 1000 feet, sending a spray of mist in all directions. The sheer force churning the water below to milky white gives the name Dudhsagar, meaning 'sea of milk'. Get away from the city for a little while and surround yourself with nature’s marvels at the Dudhsagar falls trek.

This Dudhsagar trekking takes you to the spectacular waterfalls in the middle of a thick forest. You'll have all the fun of walking along a railway track and through dark train tunnels. You will be in the middle of a rain-drenched tropical paradise, with the chattering of monkeys and the chirping of birds around you. Enjoy the view of the lush green Sahyadri Ranges.

The waterfall itself is a gorgeous one, and you'll have some time to splash about in the natural pool at the base of the waterfall. After a fun-filled day, you'll camp in tents nearby and enjoy the cool night and a blazing bonfire. This Dudhsagar trek is perfect for almost anyone looking to connect with nature or just get away from the city for a little bit.

Note: Due to restrictions on visiting the Dudhsagar Railway Bridge, you will only trek up to the base of the waterfalls and enjoy the view from there.
