Trekking
This is a paragraph with little content.

This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

This trek to Dudhsagar takes you to the spectacular four-tiered cascading waterfalls in the middle of a thick forest. You'll have all the fun of walking along a railway track and through dark train tunnels, in the middle of a rain-drenched tropical paradise, with the chattering of monkeys and the chirping of birds around you. The waterfall itself is a gorgeous one, and you'll have some time to splash about in the natural pool at the base of the waterfall. And after a fun-filled day, you'll camp in tents nearby and enjoy the cool night and a blazing bonfire. This Dudhsagar trek is perfect for almost anyone looking to connect with nature or just get away from the city for a little bit.

    Destination

Found within the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, the Dudhsagar Waterfall lies on the Mandovi River which borders both Karnataka and Goa. In the summer, this waterfall thins down quite a bit, but in the monsoon, it transforms into a thundering monster that sends a spray up over people for quite a distance around. At over 1000 feet high, with an average width of about 100 feet, it is one of India’s tallest waterfalls, and one of the largest too.

You'll start from Bangalore, and will be driven to first to Ramanagara, where you can freshen up, and then to Kulem, from where you’ll start your trek. After spending one night by this waterfall in camps, you'll catch a train back (if available)/trek back to Kulem. Here your vehicles are waiting for you, and you will be driven back to Bangalore.

    Destination highlights

    • Trek through a forest to one of India's largest waterfalls.
    • Stand and gaze in awe at the frothing water of the waterfall.
    • Camp in the heart of the mountains.
    • Splash in the cool natural pool at the base of the waterfall.
