Day 1 of the Everest Base camp trek: Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu today and from the airport the representative will take you straight to the hotel where you can rest and relax. If you need to buy anything you can visit the Kathmandu market. By night return to your hotel room for an early night in.
Day 2 of the Everest Base camp trek: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding
You'll begin your day early today as you'll first catch a short 35 minute flight to Lukla. Once you land in Lukla, you'll begin a short but refreshing trek towards Phakding. This trek encompasses trailing through Nepali Villages, catching sight of mountain tops, passing though green meadows, jungles and more. Once you reach Phakding you'll check into a traditional tea house or trekking lodge. You'll spend the rest of the day exploring around and at night you'll feast on filling dinner before you sleep.
Day 3 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Today's day begin with an early rise followed by a healthy breakfast as your prepare for your trek towards Namche Bazaar. As Namche Bazaar stands at a high altitude, your route will mainly consist of green mountain trails, passing by the Dudhkoshi River and traversing through a dense forest. Between your trek, you'll stop at Monjo for lunch. As your journey progresses you'll even catch glimpses of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse. Once you reach Namche Bazaar, you'll check into a hotel for the night.
Day 4 of the Everest Base camp trek: Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar
As you've entered into a height altitude region, you'll mainly spend your day resting and acclimatizing. However, to get an idea and feel of this place and culture you can visit the Namche Monastery, the Namche market or even stop by the Namche Museum. If you trek a little higher spectacular views of Everest and Lhotse can be seen. At night you'll return to the hotel for rest.
Day 5 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Today's you'll trek upto the Tengboche, which a small but high altitude valley located within these mountains. You'll endure a moderately difficult route, however once you reach the destination you'll be rewarded by its serene beauty. Surrounded by spectacular views you'll get to see the mighty Mount Ama Dablam and enjoy exploring around its meadows and forests. You'll then spend the night in a local lodge.
Day 6 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche
Today's journey takes you to the gorgeous region of Dingboche. For this journey you'll begin your day early with a healthy breakfast. You'll start with a trek towards the Pangboche Village, where you'll also stop for lunch. From there you'll proceed towards Pheriche catching glorious views of Mount Ama Dablam along the way. From Pheriche, you'll travel to the Imja Valley and catch sight of the Lobuche River. From here you'll encompass a steep hike till Dingboche. Once you reach Dingboche you'll check into a lodge for the night.
Day 7 of the Everest Base camp trek: Rest day in Dingboche
Today once again you'll spend the day acclimatizing your body to this regions high altitude climate. You'll meet and interact with local folks, hike to nearby places or even try trekking up to Chhkung Ri to catch panoramic views of the valley if you like. In the evening, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and sleep.
Day 8 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche
Today's journey is long but non-strenuous as you make your way towards Lobuche. You'll first start with a trek to Dughla, during which you'll catch gorgeous views of mountain peaks such as Mount Pumori, Mount Nuptse, Mount Cholatse and Mount Thamserku. After passing the Khumbu Glacier, you'll catch views of the high mountains such as Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur. Once you reach Lobuche you'll either check into a hotel or a lodge.
Day 9 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek to Everest Base camp and night at Gorakshep
Today's journey takes you to the most awaited Everest Base camp. You'll begin your day early with a filling breakfast before embarking on a trek first to Gorakshep. Conducted on a glacier, this route offers you chilling feeling as you make your way through. Once you reach Gorakshep you'll gear up for your trek towards the Everest Base camp. During this journey you'll encompass many glacial routes, frozen waterfalls and gorgeous mountain views. But the real magic lies once you reach the base camp. From you'll have a clear view of the Khumby Icefall, not to mention the mighty Everest and Lhotse. After catching these views you'll then trek back down to Gorakshep, where you'll spend the night in a lodge.
Day 10 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek to Kalapatthar for sunrise and then trek down to Pheriche
To get the best views of Mount Everest, today's journey takes you though the famous Kala Patthar. Although it will prove to be the most difficult experience during this journey, it is still the most rewarding one. Thus, after a steep climb, from atop the Kala Patthar you'll catch astounding views of many of the mighty Himalayan Ranges, not to mention a direct view of the peak of Mount Everest. After absorbing these magical views you'll then begin your descent which takes you all the way back to Pheriche. It will be long but easy trail back down. Once you reach Pheriche you'll spend the night in a local lodge.
Day 11 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
As today marks your return journey, this trek will take you back to Namche Bazaar. The longest of all days you'll encounter a series of descends and ascends. Although, your trek from Pheriche to Tyangboche to the River Valley will be an easy one. After that you'll experience only a few steep slopes. Once you reach Namche Bazaar you'll check into a hotel or lodge for the night.
Day 12 of the Everest Base camp trek: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla via Phakde
Today you'll make your way back to Lukla via Phakde. An easy and fast journey, once again you'll trek along the Dudhkoshi River and pass through rustic Nepali villages and jungles. Once you reach Lukla you'll check into a lodge for the night.
Day 13 of the Everest Base camp trek: Flight to Kathmandu
You'll wake up early today and proceed to the airport to catch your flight back to Kathmandu. During your 35 mins flight you can catch gorgeous views of the beautiful valley before. Once you reach Kathmandu you'll be transported back to the hotel where you can spend the rest of the day just relaxing.
Day 14 of the Everest Base camp trek: Buffer day OR Departure from Kathmandu and trip end
Kept as a buffer day in case of any delays in during the past 13 days of the trip or difficulty in flying back to Kathmandu on Day 13. However, if this day is utilized, the additional costs of staying (in a lodge or hotel - wherever you are at that point in time), eating and additional travel or medical expenses will be borne by the traveller. If not used, you'll be dropped back to airport by the representative from where you can catch your flight back home. And your trip ends here.
Day 15 of the Everest Base camp trek: Depart from Kathmandu and trip end
If the buffer day is used, then this is your last day, where in you'll be dropped back to the airport by the representative from where you can catch your flight back home. Your trip ends here.
