  • Trip introduction

    This rafting adventure is perfect for groups of friends who don't have a car, but are eager to experience the wild river rafting and adventures of Kolad. You'll be driven in a private vehicle to Kolad, where you'll spend the morning battling Grade II and III rapids for 2 hours, and then can try your hand at some of the activities at the campsite. By 16:00 hrs, you'll board vehicles to come back to Mumbai and will be dropped off by 20:00 hrs. It's a great day out, where you don't have to worry about anything except having a blast!

    Destination

    A couple of hours away from Mumbai, there's a small sleepy village called Kolad. It lies on the banks of the Kundalika, in the midst of greenery and nature. This village is now the adventure hub of Maharashtra, with wild river rafting that takes place every morning of the year. In the monsoon, the whole of Kolad turns into a green paradise, with puddles to splash in, and all sorts of adventure activities to try your hand at.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the tour guide and rafting instructor while rafting in Kolad.

    Consumption of alcohol and narcotics is strictly prohibited during or before the trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Children younger than 14 years of age are strictly not allowed to participate in rafting.

    Please note that all travellers need to weigh a minimum of 35 kgs and a maximum of 120 kgs, in order to participate in rafting.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 10 days before departure of the Kolad rafting trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 5-10 days before departure of the Kolad rafting trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 0-5 days before departure of the Kolad rafting trip: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap, accident or loss of life while rafting in Kolad.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.

    Rafting in Kolad is dependent on water released from the Bhira dam. The operator will not be responsible for last minute cancellation of the rafting trip due to inadequate or unsuitable water conditions.

    Water levels of the Kundalika River are controlled by the Bhira dam. Due to this, rafting timings are fixed. Please make sure you're on time or you'll miss the rafting departure.

    There are additional pick-up points at K Star Mall Chembur (06:00 hrs), Sec 17 Vashi (06:15 hrs) and Hotel 3 Star, Kharghar (06:30 hrs).

  • Go rafting in Kolad!

    Make sure you arrive at Pritam Hotel by 05:30 hrs. You'll board private vehicles and will be driven to Kolad. In a few hours, you'll arrive at Kolad. Stretch your legs, wear your life jackets and board inflatable rafts. For the next few hours, you'll navigate your rafts through the rapids of the Kundalika river. Post rafting, you'll travel to a campsite to have lunch, before beginning your return journey back to Mumbai. En route, you'll make a quick stop for evening tea and coffee. Subject to traffic conditions, you'll arrive at Dadar by 20:00 hrs. Your trip ends here.

Today's meal package includes lunch (with a non-vegetarian dish) and evening tea or coffee. Your trip ends as you arrive back at Dadar by 20:00 hrs, subject to traffic conditions.
