This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

Sign up for a thrilling night trek near Mumbai and spend the night climbing on mountain trails in the Sahyadri range. With shining torches in hand, you'll follow the trek leader, stop at vantage points overlooking the rugged hills and take in beauitful night-time views of the forest. You'll soon reach the top, where you can rest and wait for the morning sunrise. At the fort, ancient ruins and historic caves await with sculpted pillars, edifices and walls.

Ideal for travellers looking to plan a quick summer getaway, this is a relatively easy trek that is perfect for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers.

    Destination

A hill fort in the foothills of the Sahyadri range, Kothaligad is a relatively small fort when compared with other hill forts in the area like Rajmachi, Siddhagad or Prabalgad. Despite its smaller size, the fort served as a storehouse of ammunition and a watchtower over the surrounding region. Accessible via a short trek from the base village, the fort of Kothaligad is a popular trek for travellers from Mumbai looking for a short and adventure-packed trip near Mumbai. The surrounding landscape of Karjat is open with sprawling plains and small hills on all sides which makes the weather here windy and perfect for such night treks.
