    Embark on this 10-day motorbiking adventure and explore the cold, desert kingdom of Ladakh on powerful Royal Enfield motorbikes. Accompanied by an entourage of like-minded motorbikers, you'll follow an expert road captain to visit secluded destinations, from the sand dunes of Hunder to the rolling mountains of Sarchu. During the day, you'll thunder across national highways and off-beat roads, with dramatic views of snow-capped peaks and barren mountains on all sides. En route, you'll halt to visit landmarks like the Shanti Stupa or monasteries like the Diskit Monastery, making memories to last a lifetime.

    Please note that price displayed is the per person price for a booking for one motorbike rider and one pillion rider.

    Please note that an additional refundable, security deposit of INR 5,000 per motorbike, not included in the cost displayed, is to be paid directly to the tour operator.

    Your 10-day adventure across Ladakh begins from the rich and green valleys of Manali. With every passing day, you'll travel north towards Ladakh, travelling over twisting roads and high altitude passes, postcard views of rolling hills in view. Soon, you'll find yourself surrounded by the high-rising mountains of Ladakh, painted with differing shades of brown and grey. Throughout the journey, you'll be mesmerized with views of dominating mountains on the horizon with snow-capped summits extending far above the clouds. After exploring the city of Leh and the Ladakh range, you'll end your tour at Leh with memories of an unforgettable adventure.

    Rules on the trip

    The motorbike rider as well as the pillion rider is required to wear a helmet at all times while riding the motorbike. A safety helmet will be provided to all travellers by the tour operator.

    Travellers are required to carry a valid, govt-issued photo ID card and a valid driver's licence.

    Travellers are required to follow all instructions of the road captain during the Ladakh motorbiking trip.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the trip. Travellers suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in the trip.

    Travellers getting their own motorbike must ensure that the vehicle is registered to the rider's name and all the relevant documents (pollution check, insurance and driver's licence etc) are in order.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 60 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 100% refund.

    For cancellations made 45-60 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 30-44 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made 20-29 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: 25% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 20 days before departure of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: no refund.

    In case of show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting an administration fee of INR 5,000 per person and a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. The administration fee is charged by the tour operator, the transaction fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers will be required to pay a refundable, security deposit of INR 5,000 per motorbike. Any major damage or loss to the motorbike and use of any spare parts will be deducted from the security deposit. This deposit is payable directly to the tour operator and any disputes involving the deposit will be settled between the tour operator and the traveller.

    Travellers are only allowed to store one rucksack of maximum 60 liters capacity in the support vehicle. Any extra luggage will be the responsibility of the traveller.

    If any traveller wishes to exit the tour mid-way for any medical or personal reasons, an additional charge of transporting the motorbike from the leaving point to the end point will be applicable.

    The tour operator reserves the right to alter or cancel the itinerary of this Ladakh motorbiking trip due to any unforeseen circumstances to ensure maximum safety of travellers and staff. Costs arising due to such a change in itinerary will be borne by the traveller.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

  • Day 1 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Depart from Delhi

    In the afternoon, you'll report to the starting point in Delhi and board an AC Semi Sleeper Volvo Bus. Settle in for an overnight journey to Manali. Overnight in transit.

    Day 2 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Arrive at Manali

    You'll reach Manali by early morning. Check-in to a hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Today, you'll meet your road captain and your fellow travellers. A short briefing will be conducted by the captain to cover essential details about your upcoming ride. In the evening, you can test ride your motorbikes in the streets of Manali and visit local attractions like the Vashisht Temple and the Manali Mall Road. Overnight in a hotel at Manali.

    Day 3 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Manali to Jispa

    Leaving behind the lush, green valleys of Manali, you'll begin your Ladakh motorbiking adventure and enter the barren, brown landscapes of the desert kingdom. En route, you'll cross the Rohtang Pass, a major mountain pass that often experiences major snowstorms in the winter season. Scenes of snow-capped mountains peaks will begin popping up over the horizon as you navigate tricky road sections and rest at vantage points. Overnight in a hotel or Swiss tents at Jispa.

    Day 4 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Jispa to Sarchu

    Continue forward from Jispa. You'll drive to the Sarchu Plains by going up to an altitude of over 16,000 feet to cross the Baralacha-La Pass. As you continue gaining altitude each day, pay close attention to the instructions of your road captain and take adequate measures to ensure proper acclimatization. On the road to Sarchu, you'll take brief halts at Zing Zing Bar and Sarai to rest and admire the dramatic beauty of the mountains. Overnight in Swiss tents at Sarchu.

    Day 5 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Sarchu to Leh

    Ride from Sarchu to Leh and cross state borders to enter the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Today, you'll take on the challenge of crossing the Gata Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends. You'll ride through the More Plains, a scenic stretch of the route with photogenic mountains on either side of the road. En route, cross the Tanglang-La Pass, the second highest motorable mountain pass in the world, and arrive at Leh. Overnight in Swiss tents or a hotel at Leh.

    Day 6 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Day at Leh

    Today is reserved as a rest day for you to take a break and acclimatize to the high altitude of the city. You can spend your day at leisure or choose to visit various local attractions in Leh such as the Leh Palace and the Shanti Stupa. Nearby attractions also include the famous Hemis Monastery and Shey Monastery. You can also visit the Leh marketplace to shop for any souvenirs or gifts. Overnight in Swiss tents or a hotel at Leh.

    Day 7 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Leh to Nubra Valley

    On today's ride from Leh to Nubra Valley, you'll take on the adventure of riding over the world's highest motorable mountain pass at the Khardung-La. At an altitude of over 18,000 feet, stop to take in scenes of the snow-laden landscape from the pass. You'll cross Khardung-La and enter the Nubra Valley, a high-altitude cold desert known for the sand dunes and double-humped camels. Subject to time constraints, you'll also visit the nearby Diskit Monastery. Overnight in Swiss tents or a hotel at Nubra Valley.

    Day 8 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake

    One of the most adventurous of all days, today will see you taking off-beat, rocky, narrow mountain roads to the Pangong Lake. The astounding beauty of the lake, flanked by towering mountains on all sides, stands out as soon as you arrive. The colours of the water change shades of blue and green as the sun begins to set in the evening. At night, look up at the dark sky, twinkling with a thousand, bright stars. Overnight in Swiss tents at the Pangong Lake.

    Day 9 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Pangong Lake to Leh

    After a blissful night by the Pangong Lake, you'll travel back to the capital city of Leh. En route, you'll cross the high-altitude Chang-La Pass and take a pit stop outside the Lotus Valley School, featured in the popular Bollywood movie '3 Idiots'. Overnight in Swiss tents or a hotel in Leh.

    Check-out from the hotel in the morning and depart for the Leh Airport. Your trip ends here.

    Travel from Delhi to Manali in an AC Semi Sleeper Volvo Bus. You'll be spending the night in the bus travelling to Manali, so make sure to wear something comfortable. No meals are included in today's meal package.

    Day 2 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Arrive at Manali

    Overnight in Hotel Hollywood, Kalinga, Seven Hills or similar accommodation.

    Spend the day at Manali. You'll be accommodated at a hotel in Manali. All accommodation will be in twin or triple sharing rooms. Today's meal package includes dinner only.

    Day 3 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Manali to Jispa

    Overnight in Jispa Journey Camps, The Yak Hotel Jispa, Hotel IBEX or similar accommodation.

    Ride from Manali to Jispa. You'll be accommodated in Swiss tents or a hotel at Jispa. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only. Every day, you'll stop at a restaurant or eatery en route to your destination, where you can have lunch at your own expense.

    Day 4 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Jispa to Sarchu

    Overnight in Snow Gold Camps, Gold Drop Camps, Antrek Camps or similar accommodation.

    Ride from Jispa to Sarchu. You'll be accommodated in Swiss tents at Sarchu. All accommodation units throughout the trip, including the Swiss tents, will come with attached washrooms. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

    Day 5 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Sarchu to Leh

    Overnight in Horpo, The Silk Route Ladakh, Hotel Zion or similar accommodation.

    Ride from Sarchu to Leh. You may be issued an equally reliable, Ladakh-registered motorbike for riding in Jammu and Kashmir due to local union matters. You'll be accommodated in Swiss tents or a hotel at Leh. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

    Day 6 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Day at Leh

    Overnight in Horpo, The Silk Route Ladakh, Hotel Zion or similar accommodation.

    Spend the day at Leh. Please follow proper acclimatization measures in preparation of your travel to higher altitudes. You'll be accommodated in Swiss tents or a hotel at Leh. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

    Day 7 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Leh to Nubra Valley

    Overnight in Lasthang, Chunka Camps, Nature Nest Camps or similar accommodation.

    Ride from Leh to Nubra Valley. A support vehicle driven by a mechanic will follow your entourage throughout the trip. You'll be accommodated in Swiss tents or a hotel at Nubra Valley. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

    Day 8 of the Ladakh motorbiking trip: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake

    Overnight in Wonderland Camps, The Ladakh Camps or similar accommodation.

    Ride from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake. A road captain riding on a motorbike will lead your entourage throughout the trip. You'll be accommodated in Swiss tents at Pangong Lake. Today's meal package includes breakfast and dinner only.

    Overnight in Horpo, The Silk Route Ladakh, Hotel Zion or similar accommodation.
