    Become a PADI Open Water Diver on this 3-day scuba diving course in Gili Trawangan. The course begins with a theory session and confined pool training where you learn the essential skills required for scuba diving, after which you get to complete 4 open water dives up to a depth of 60 feet. You'll also get to explore the rich marine life of the Bali Sea around the island. Upon successful completion of the course, you'll be rewarded with the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

    Destination

    Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three Gili islands of Bali and it is a tropical paradise. It is home to world class beaches and sparkling blue waters - making it a splendid retreat for scuba divers from all around the world. The blue waters around the island are home to vivid coral reefs, and rich marine life that includes moray eels, turtles, stingrays, lobsters, etc. If you are lucky, you might even spot a reef shark.

    Some of the most popular dive spots around the island include Shark Point, Turtle Heaven, Halik, Sunset Reef, Deep Turbo, Bounty Wreck, Bio Rock, etc.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are required to follow all instructions of the dive instructor during the PADI Open Water Diver course in Bali.

    Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited during the course.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Please allow 12 hours between the end of your diving session and your return flight to allow your body to recover.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the PADI Open Water Diver course in Bali: Full refund minus the wire transfer fees.

    For cancellations made 7-14 days before the PADI Open Water Diver course in Bali: Full refund minus the deposit amount.

    For cancellations made less than 7 days before the PADI Open Water Diver course in Bali: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Travellers are required to have prior knowledge of swimming. Before the course begins, you'll be required to pass a test that will include swimming for about 600 feet and floating in open water for about 10 minutes.

    Travellers must agree to discontinue diving if respiratory congestion or a head cold or any other medical condition occurs before or during the course.

    The tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary of this PADI Open Water Diver course in Bali due to bad weather conditions to ensure maximum safety of divers and staff.

  • Day 1 of the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Gili Trawangan: Pool Training + Theory Session

    Today, you'll arrive at the dive centre in the morning. There, you'll begin with your classroom training session where you'll learn the theory and techniques behind scuba diving. After that, you'll be taken to the pool for a confined water training session. You'll learn how to breathe underwater. Post-training, you'll head back to your hotel.

    Day 2 of the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Gili Trawangan: 2 Open Water Dives up to 40 feet

    Today, you'll report to the dive centre and collect your gear. You'll then be taken to the dive site where you'll get to engage in two open water dives and explore the exotic marine life of the Gili Islands. After your dives, you'll head back to the dive centre and return your gear. The second day of the course ends here.

    Day 3 of the PADI Open Water Diver Course in Gili Trawangan: 2 Open Water Dives up to 60 feet

    Today, you'll again report to the dive centre to collect your gear. Then, you'll be transferred to the dive site where you'll go scuba diving and swim with the gorgeous fish species of the Gili Islands. Post-dives, you'll return to the dive centre and collect your PADI Open Water Diver certification. Your course ends here.
