    Located on the banks of the Khichdi River, the campsite lies in the quaint little Kyari Village in the Ramnagar region of Nainital. At the foothills of Uttarakhand’s Himalayas, this campsite is not only rife with dense forests but even a plethora of native and migratory birds. Moreover, it overlooks the famous and beautiful Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, giving you a direct insight to this region's rich wildlife. During this camping trip, you’ll be staying in traditionally made mud houses that come with thatched roofs to incite the typical village experience.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to instructions of the tour guide while undertaking any adventure activity during the Ramnagar mud house stay.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Consumption of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited during the Ramnagar mud house stay.

    You must adhere to the instruction of the guide at all times during the Ramnagar mud house stay.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 25 days before the Ramnagar mud house stay:75% refund.

    For cancellations made from 15-20 days before the Ramnagar mud house stay: 60% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 15 days before the Ramnagar mud house stay: No refund.

    In case of no show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting a transaction fee of INR 200 per person. This fee is charged by The Great Next.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    The check-in time for the Ramnagar mud house stay is at 11:00 hrs and the check-out time is at 10:00 hrs.

    Pick-up from the Ramnagar Station can be arranged at INR 600 per jeep and transport from the Kathgodam Station can be arranged at INR 2500 per Innova.

    The parking charge for the Ramnagar mud house stay is INR 100 per vehicle per night.

    Hot water is provided on request during the Ramnagar mud house stay.

    To enjoy a BBQ session during the Ramnagar mud house stay the additional cost is INR 350 per head with a minimum requirement of 10 people. The cost for an additional meal is INR 400 per meal.

    In order to indulge in adventure activities such as cycling/mountain biking, body surfing or ladder climbing during the Ramnagar mud house stay the additional cost is INR 550 per head.

    To embark on a safari to the Jim Corbett National Park, the additional cost is INR 5000 for upto 6 people of Indian nationality.

    During the Ramnagar mud house stay children below 5 years are complimentary, however children between 6 to 11 years are charged at 25% of the total package cost and children above 12 years are considered as adults.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the Ramnagar mud house stay to maximize the safety of travellers as well as staff.

    The tour operator takes utmost care to ensure safety of the travellers and shall not be held responsible for any mishap or accident during the Ramnagar mud house stay.

    Travellers will be required to bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks, etc.

  • Day 1 of the Ramnagar mud house stay: Check-in and enjoy

    You'll check in at the campsite by 11:00 hrs, where your mud house will be allotted to you. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing by the fishpond, go for bird watching expedition, etc. If you want experience the culture and nature of the region, there is also a guided trek through the village and jungle. You'll return to the campsite in the evening and you'll get to indulge in some traditional cuisine. Overnight in a mud house.

    Day 2 of the Ramnagar mud house stay: Check-out

    Wake up early today to the cooing of the birds. If you want, you can even enjoy a mini bird watching session. After this, you'll freshen up and have breakfast. Post breakfast if time permits enjoy one last game of volleyball, however, by 10:00 hrs you'll check out of the campsite. Your trip ends here.
