  • Trip introduction

Take the first step towards becoming a certified diver with this SSI Scuba Diver course. This short scuba diving course in Bali will teach you the basic skills and use of equipment for guided diving.

The 2-day SSI Scuba Diver course includes a theory and pool session, as well as 4 open water dives in Padang Bai. You'll be provided with beverages, snacks, lunch, and transport from your hotel to the dive centre and back, as well as all the equipment you need to complete your course. This is a great way to spend two days out on the water, exploring the fascinating underwater world of Bali. As a licensed Scuba Diver, you’ll be able to dive up to 12 meters deep, anywhere in the world, under the supervision of an instructor.

NOTE: To complete the SSI Scuba Diver course, you will be expected to swim 200 metres and float for 10 minutes in open water.

    Destination

This SSI Scuba Diver course gives you the opportunity to dive at two different locations. On your first day, you'll head to Padang Bai for your first two dives. The low current waters here make it an ideal spot for beginners, and you'll be able to practise your basic skills and get comfortable while you enjoy your first two dives. On day 2, you'll go diving in either Amed or Tulamben, depending on the tide and weather conditions. Both locations have plenty to see. The USAT Liberty shipwreck in Tulamben is a prime attraction for divers and snorkellers, but there are also coral-rich sites like Kubu and Coral Garden. In Amed, you'll find a dramatic black sand dive spot, where the vibrant coloured coral reefs stand out in dramatic colours.

    Destination highlights

    • Become a certified SSI Scuba Diver in 2 days.
    • Enjoy 4 dives in Padang Bai, and in Tulamben or Amed.
    • Learn the skills you need to earn your certification.
    • Spend two days on the water, enjoying the tropical paradise of Bali.
