    Explore the dark and dense forests of Andharban and visit an natural waterfall in the heart of nature. You'll trek in the mountains of the Tamhini Ghat and make your way across slippery rock-faces, over storm-blown trees and across terraced farms and fields. As you approach the waterfall on a short trail, you'll hear the roar of the water cascading down the mountain cliff. A relatively easy, one-day adventure, this trek to Devkund Waterfall fort is perfect for beginners as well as experienced trekkers.


    Located near the Tamhini Ghat, the Devkund Waterfall is surrounded by rain-soaked wilderness in the densely sprawling Andharban forests. The trail to the waterfall is hidden in the folds of Western Ghats, decorated by clear lakes, river streams, thick forests and bio-diverse plants and birds. Gushing down with monsoon water, the waterfall flows down to form a turquoise pool of water at the bottom, allowing trekkers to take a dip in cool waters after an exciting trek.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are required to follow instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Devkund Waterfall.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trip.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made 8 days or more before departure of the Devkund Waterfall trek: 75% refund.

    For cancellations made 4-7 days before departure of the Devkund Waterfall trek: 50% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 4 days before departure of the Devkund Waterfall trek: no refund.

    In case of no show: no refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    Additional instructions, booking policies, terms and conditions

    Apart from the pick-up point at Pritam Da Dhaba in Dadar, travellers can also be picked-up from alternative pick-up points of Diamond Garden in Chembur at 23:45 hrs, near Vashi Plaza in Vashi at 00:15 hrs on day 2, and the McDonalds in Kalamboli at 00:45 hrs on day 2.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trek to Devkund Waterfall to maximize the safety of travellers as well as staff.

    Travellers will be required bear any additional costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road blocks etc.

    Arrive at the Pritam Da Dhaba restaurant in Dadar East by 23:00 hrs. Here, you'll meet your fellow trekkers and board a private, shared bus or similar vehicle to the base village of the trek, Bhira village. You'll arrive at your destination after a by 05:00 hrs.

    Day 2 of the trek to Devkund Waterfall: Trek to Devkund Waterfall and return

    Arrive at the base village and take some time to rest till sun begins rising. Begin trekking uphill to misty, morning views of the Sahyadri mountains and reach Devkund Waterfall by late morning.

    You'll spend some time exploring the area, taking a dip in the waterfall and clicking photographs. Return back to the base village on the same route. You'll travel back to Mumbai in a private, shared bus or similar vehicle. Subject to traffic conditions, you'll arrive at Dadar by 21:00 hrs.
