    One of the most exciting high-altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh, this trek to Bhrigu Lake takes you to an altitude of over 14,000 feet in just four days. As you trek under dense forests of pine trees, you’ll steadily gain altitude and catch increasingly breathtaking views of the Solang Valley. Your trek over the vast forest-covered pastures also offers amazing views of snow-capped peaks of Hanuman Tibba, Deo Tibba and Indrasan. At night, you’ll stay in tents pitched over lush meadows and drift into sleep under a sky full of stars.

    This trek to Bhrigu Lake takes you over a relatively easy to moderate trail with patches of strenuous climbs, making it perfect for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers.

    Destination

    Bhrigu Lake is a high-altitude lake in the Solang Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is named after Maharishi Bhrigu, a notable saint in Hinduism, who used to meditate on the banks of the lake. Considered holy by the locals, the lake is a popular destination for trekking enthusiasts. After hours of an exhausting trek, the stunning view of mountains reflected in the still waters of the Bhrigu Lake is extremely rewarding.

    Rules on the trip

    Travellers are required to adhere to the instructions of the trek leader during the trek to Bhrigu Lake.

    Consumption of alcohol, drugs, tobacco products and cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the trek.

    Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing general disturbance.

    Cancellation policy

    For cancellations made on or before 3 days prior to departure of the Bhrigu Lake trek: 30% refund.

    For cancellations made less than 3 days prior to departure of the Bhrigu Lake trek: No refund.

    No show: No refund.

    All refunds will be processed after deducting any transaction charges.

    The tour operator reserves the right to cancel or alter the itinerary of the trek to Bhrigu Lake to maximize the safety of travellers as well as staff.

  • Day 1 of the trek to Bhrigu Lake: Arrive at Manali

    Arrive at the Manali base camp by morning. You'll spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude and preparing for the trek to Bhrigu Lake. You'll meet your fellow trekkers and the trek leader, who will conduct a quick orientation session to inform you about the trek route, essential items to carry and other important information. You can also visit the local marketplace in Manali to do any last minute shopping. Overnight at Manali in tents.

    Day 2: Drive to Kulang, trek to Mori Dogu

    You'll be driven to Kulang after breakfast. It’s a short drive of about 30 mins, and then your trek begins. You’ll be trekking to Mori Dogu today, passing small streams and walking through lush greenery. It’s about 4 hours to Mori Dogu, and you’ll get to the campsite by late afternoon. You can relax for the rest of the day. Overnight in tents.

    Day 3: Day trek to Bhrigu Lake

    Begin trekking early in the day and head towards Bhrigu Lake. You'll reach the lake after a few hours of trekking. Spend some time to admire the beautiful lake and the reflections of surrounding mountains in the still waters of the lake. After a packed lunch on the banks of the lake, you'll head back down to Mori Dogu. Overnight at Mori Dogu in tents.

    Day 4: Return to Manali

    Today, you'll begin the last day of your trek on a descending route to Kulang. Here, you'll board vehicles that will drive you back to Manali. Your trip ends here.

    Your trip begins as you report to the campsite at Manali. You'll be accommodated in tents at Manali on a triple-sharing basis. Sleeping bags and mattresses will be provided for a restful night's sleep. The campsite is also equipped with common kitchen/dining and toilet tents. Today's meal package includes dinner only. You may visit any of the restaurants in Manali to have additional meals at an extra cost.

    Day 2: Drive to Kulang, trek to Mori Dogu

    Overnight in Mori Dogu.

    Travel to Kulang in shared, private vehicles and trek to Mori Dogu. Here, you'll be accommodated in tents on a triple-sharing basis. Sleeping bags and mattresses will be provided for a restful night's sleep. The campsite is also equipped with common kitchen/dining and toilet tents. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 3: Day trek to Bhrigu Lake

    Overnight in Mori Dogu.

    You'll trek to Bhrigu Lake today and will eat a a packed lunch there. After that, you'll return to your campsite in Mori Dogu. Here you'll be accommodated in tents on a triple-sharing basis. Sleeping bags and mattresses will be provided for a restful night's sleep. The campsite is also equipped with common kitchen/dining and toilet tents. Today's meal package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 4: Return to Manali

    Trip ends by late afternoon.

    Trek to Kulang and travel to Manali in shared, private vehicles. Today's meal package includes breakfast only. You may visit any of the restaurants in Manali to have additional meals at an extra cost. Your trip ends as you arrive in Manali by late afternoon.
