  • Trip introduction

Maharashtra is one of the richest states in terms of forts, however Kohoj fort is one of the forts with maximum character. With a heart-shaped lake at the bottom of the hill that reflects the magnificent structure of the fort, to strong bastions; from cisterns that contain potable water to age old temples. The highlights of this fort however, are the man-shaped pinnacles that can be climbed. The monsoon infuses a fresh breath of life into this otherwise desolate trek route. The lush greenery with flowing streams of water as you trek past, is sure to leave you rejuvenated.

The Kohoj fort is said to be about 800 years old and is located close to the Mumbai – Ahmedabad highway. Surrounded by the lush monsoon greenery, this trek is a real treat for both nature and history lovers.
