Trekking
This is a paragraph with little content.

This is another small paragraph.

  • Trip introduction

Climb up to an altitude of over 11,900 feet to reach the highest mountain peak in the state of West Bengal and catch awe-inspiring views of the Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain peak in the world. Trekking through the dense woods of the Singalila National Park, you'll make your way through rhododendron and magnolia forests, home to alpine wildlife like red pandas and bears.

En route, you'll visit small Himalayan villages like Tumling and Kalapokhri, as you climb higher altitudes along the Indo-Nepalese border. At every turn, you'll catch breathtaking views of gorgeous mountainous landscapes, with famous peaks like Kanchenjunga, Kabru, Goecha-La and many more reaching up from the ground.

    Destination

Sandakphu is a small village located on a mountain ridge that runs parallel to the Indo-Nepalese national border in West Bengal. The village, settled by local natives, is home to a few houses of farmers and shepherds along with several lodges and guesthouses. As the highest point in the state of West Bengal, it overlooks some of the most magnificent landscapes of snowy-white Himalayan peaks and valleys, including the famous Mt. Kanchenjunga.

The Sandakphu trek is one of the few tea-house treks in India, where travellers will stay entirely in tea-houses instead of camping in tents. A tea-house, largely run by local natives, offers basic services of meals and accommodations to trekkers and travellers.
