  • Trip introduction

This Kolad river rafting trip is the perfect adventure for those looking for an escape from the city. You'll enjoy the green location of Kolad, with coconut trees, paddy fields, and mango orchards around, but the highlight is the rafting in Kolad. You'll be briefed about the basic rafting techniques you need to know, and then it's time to don your helmets and life jackets. After that, you'll be battling the Grade III to IV rapids, getting splashed, and trying to keep your raft afloat. It's a thrilling ride, and you'll end it with some fun body-surfing and jumping into the water in the peaceful sections of the river.

Note: You will not have any accommodation or meals on this trip, but you will have access to clean changing rooms and bathrooms.

The Kundalika river rises in the Western Ghats and flows through the small village of Kolad, creating a riverside paradise that is not too far from Mumbai and Pune. The river is peaceful and wide, but every morning of the year, the Bhira Dam gates open, releasing a flood of water. For about three hours, the river rages through, creating thrilling rapids for you to take on. You'll be rafting in Kolad past idyllic fields and tree-lined shores, with tropical flora and fauna all around. At the end of your Kundalika rafting trip, you'll have a chance to jump into the water for a swim!

    Destination highlights

    • Battle 13 kms of raging rapids on the Kundalika.
